He had a degree in English Studies from the then Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti in 1992. Akinrele’s quest to study law took him to the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, Osun State where he obtained a 2nd Class Upper Degree in law in 2001, and subsequently obtained a Master of Laws Degree in 2006.

Akinrele started his law career as a Proof Reader with the Nigerian Law Publications Limited, in 2001 during which he came under the direct tutelage of the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of NWLR late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, SAN.

He rose to become a Senior Counsel in the Chambers of Gani Fawehinmi and an Assistant Editor of the Nigerian Weekly Law Reports. Akinrele learnt the arts of law office management, accounting and record keeping while in the chambers of Gani Fawehinmi.

He has bias for litigation in all areas of the law and had practiced extensively at all rungs of the judicial ladder and across the states of Nigeria. He is a member of the editorial team of the Nigerian Weekly Law Reports.
